The Hottest Summer Styles For 2022
Hands up who's loving the warmer weather? With new international travel opportunities opening up every day, whether you're planning on jetting off somewhere exotic, or you'll be holidaying somewhere closer to home, warmer weather means the return of the summer wardrobe.
Perhaps you're an avid follower of fashion or you just want to update your summer style a bit? Whatever your reasoning, we've done all the hard work, so you don't have to. We've collated some of the hottest looks for summer 2022 from the likes of Vogue, Stylist, Glamour and Marie Claire.
According to stylist.co.uk this summer is all about working with what you've got, utilising bright and bold colours with a focus that's firmly on comfort (yay!).
Glamour magazine is touting low slung waists, bright neon colours, pleats, liquid metals and hyper feminine (think of the brands like Sister Jane and Paul & Joe). These styles aren't quite as easy to wear, but they are big on impact.
Over at Vogue, key trends are that there are no trends. I mean, that's not strictly true, as everything that happens on the cat walk filters down to the highstreet, but it's being widely reported that Covid killed fashion.

Dig a bit deeper and Vogue is reported an ecclectic, somewhat chaotic aesthetic. Sounds to us like that's carte blanche to get creative with the mixing and matching of styles.
This translates to mini skirts, bright and bold colour (there it is again), bold and beautiful stripes and super glam evening looks.
Over at Elle fashion it's all about the legs. Forget short skirts or even mini skirts, it's all about the micro skirt (yikes). From one extreme to the other, the next big trend we see are oversized shirts in bright, bold colours.
A trend touted by Elle that we can really get behind is baggy denim. That's oversized and super baggy wide leg jeans in a light stone wash. We're loving this 90's style throwback, pair with heels and a cropped top for a touch of evening glam.
Finally, Marie Claire is big on mood boosting yellow, dresses and tops with cut-out sections and almost anything goes, as long as it's covered in polka dots.
